Lamborghini named Italy’s most desired employer, surpassing Ferrero in 2026 ranking

Automobili Lamborghini has claimed the top spot as Italy’s most attractive employer in the 2026 Randstad Employer Brand Research, overtaking Ferrero, which held the title just one year ago. The prestigious ranking highlights a significant shift in what Italian workers are seeking from employers, with Lamborghini standing out for its strong focus on workplace flexibility, sustainability, and employee wellbeing.

The Sant’Agata Bolognese-based luxury automotive manufacturer secured 79.8% of preferences in the overall ranking, becoming the most desired company to work for across all sectors. The result reflects Lamborghini’s growing reputation not only as a global symbol of innovation and performance but also as a company committed to building a progressive and people-cantered corporate culture. In sector-specific rankings, Ferrero retained its leadership in consumer goods, while other standout employers included Mondadori in media, the European Institute of Oncology in healthcare, Brembo in automotive components, Leonardo in aerospace, Sanofi in pharmaceuticals, ABB in electronics, and IBM in ICT. According to Douglas Arrighi Pereira, Chief People, Culture and Organization Officer at Automobili Lamborghini, the company’s strategy is cantered on creating an environment where every employee can fully express their potential. “Our goal is to create the conditions for each individual to contribute to an agile, motivated organization capable of meeting future challenges – he said – Being recognized as Italy’s ideal employer reinforces our responsibility to continue acting with consistency, attention to people, and a strong sense of shared responsibility”.

Lamborghini’s people-focused initiatives, including flexible working models, shorter workweeks, and a strong sustainability agenda, have clearly resonated with the Italian workforce. The 2026 Randstad research also revealed changing priorities among employees. For the first time in a decade, salary has returned as the most important factor when choosing an employer, cited by 59% of respondents. This was followed by a pleasant work atmosphere (57%) and work-life balance (56%), highlighting a renewed emphasis on financial security alongside workplace wellbeing. Compensation also emerged as the primary reason employees resign, mentioned by 44% of respondents. Lack of growth opportunities and the desire for better work-life balance followed at 33% each. Despite continued movement in the labour market, the study suggests a slight trend toward greater stability compared to 2025. While 22% of Italian workers are considering changing jobs within the next six months, 12% have already done so. The aerospace sector ranked as the most attractive industry overall, with 77% preference, followed by ICT, automotive, electronics, media, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, automotive components, and metallurgy.
