For 2025, Hisense Europe, a manufacturer of household appliances under the Gorenje, Hisense, and Asko brands, achieved the highest score in the annual EcoVadis assessment, thanks to the performance of its Gorenje division, which was awarded the Platinum recognition. This result places Gorenje among the leading global companies in sustainable and responsible business management.
Among the more than 150,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis worldwide, Gorenje ranked within the top 1%. This achievement highlights Hisense Europe and Gorenje’s consistent commitment to treating sustainability not merely as a guiding principle, but as an integral component of their operational activities.
EcoVadis is one of the leading corporate sustainability assessment organizations and, since 2007, has been evaluating companies’ environmental, social, and ethical performance across global supply chains. Its methodology is highly rigorous, establishing EcoVadis as a globally recognized benchmark in the field of corporate sustainability.
The EcoVadis award is not new to Gorenje, which previously received the Silver Medal in 2023 and 2024. Following further advancements in sustainable practices over the past year, the company achieved the highest recognition in 2025: the Platinum Award, placing it at the top of its sector and surpassing notable competitors such as BSH and Arçelik.
According to EcoVadis, Gorenje’s overall score improved due to the implementation of new initiatives outlined in the company’s advanced sustainable development strategy. This strategy defines actions in areas with the greatest impact on the business, the environment, employees, and society as a whole. The areas assessed include production, products, human resources, supply chain, sustainable operations, and corporate social responsibility.
